About Dr. Jewell
Dr. Jewell is a plastic and reconstructive surgeon in private practice in Santa Monica, California. She earned her bachelors degree in Physiology from the University of California in Davis and her degree in medicine from the University of Wisconsin Medical School in Madison. When she completed medical school, she returned to California where she received her internship and residency training in General Surgery and Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the University of Southern California.
At USC Dr. Jewell trained in all aspects of plastic and reconstructive surgery including microsurgery. In addition to her surgical training she was active in clinical research and has presented several research projects at local and national medical conferences on the topics of burn wound healing, breast reconstruction, and the practice patterns of plastic surgeons.
Upon completion of her residency training, Dr. Jewell entered a private practice in Torrance, California where she continues to see patients on a weekly basis. Currently, her primary office location is within Pacific Surgicenter in Santa Monica, California. In addition to serving patients in Santa Monica and the South Bay, Dr. Jewell is a consultant plastic and reconstructive surgeon at the City of Hope comprehensive cancer treatment center in Duarte, California.
As a proud graduate of the USC Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Residency Training Program, Dr. Jewell maintains her relationship with USC. She now participates in training USC residents in cosmetic surgery at Pacific Surgicenter and in cancer reconstruction at the City of Hope.
Although Dr. Jewell enjoys all facets of plastic surgery, her areas of special interest are aesthetic and reconstructive surgery of the breast.

Surgery Scheduling
Once you and Dr. Jewell have made a decision about your surgical procedure, her patient care coordinator Frederique (Freddie) Strohm will schedule the date and time that works best for you.
In addition to arranging your surgery date, Freddie will assist you with obtaining your pre-operative tests and medical clearance from your primary care physician.
After surgery, Freddie will ensure that you have the appropriate post-operative garments and follow up appointments. She is an excellent resource for you from the date you schedule surgery through your last post-operative visit and beyond!
Pacific Surgicenter
Dr. Jewell performs her outpatient cosmetic procedures at Pacific Surgicenter, which is located within her Santa Monica office. Pacific Surgicenter is licensed as an outpatient surgicenter by the State of California Department of Health Services. It is also a Medicare Provider certified by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Division of Health Standards and Quality and by the American Association for the Accreditation of Ambulatory Surgical Facilities.
Anesthesia for patients having surgery at Pacific Surgicenter is provided by board certified anesthesiologists.
